Job summary

CenterSquare Investment Management is offering a 10-week Private Equity Real Estate internship in Conshohocken, PA. You will work with the Private Equity Real Estate team to underwrite, close acquisitions, asset manage, finance and dispose real estate investments.

Based in the Conshohocken office, this in-office program includes mentorship and exposure to senior leaders. The internship emphasizes cash flow projections in Excel/Argus, due diligence, and creating robust models, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong academic background and GPA in finance, accounting or economics.
• Keen interest in real estate, stock markets and macroeconomic events.
• Superior knowledge of Excel with vlookups, macros and indexing.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Learn to develop cash flow projections using Argus and Excel.
• Learn the due diligence process for proposed acquisitions.
• Learn to create and maintain Argus models for commercial properties.
• Research and collect financial and market data for investment decisions.
• Participate in portfolio and broker meetings.
• Attend tours of local assets when available.
• Join weekly lunch and learn sessions to understand firm operations.
• Interact with portfolio managers and senior leaders.
• Be assigned a mentor for guidance throughout the internship.
• Attend social networking activities during the summer.
• Present a project to the team at internship close.

Internship Program:

The Private Equity Real Estate internship is a 10-week program (June-August). As an intern, you will work alongside the Private Equity Real Estate team as they underwrite, close on acquisitions, asset manage, finance and dispose real estate investments. The internship will be based in CenterSquare’s Conshohocken, PA office and is an in-office position.

Description:

• Learn how to develop cash flow projections utilizing Argus and Excel software
• Learn the due diligence process for proposed acquisitions
• Learn how to create and maintain Argus models for commercial properties
• Research and collect financial and market data for use in investment decisions
• Participate in portfolio and broker meetings
• Participate in tours of local assets, when available
• Attend weekly lunch and learn sessions with various professionals in the organization to gain an understanding of how the firm operates
• Exposure to portfolio managers and senior leaders in the organization
• Assigned to a mentor who will provide professional guidance throughout the internship
• Attend social networking activities which will occur over the course of the summer
• Project presentation to team members/senior leaders at close of internship

Qualifications:

• Strong academic background and GPA, majoring in finance, accounting or economics
• A keen interest in real estate, the stock market and/or macroeconomic events
• Superior knowledge of excel required (i.e. vlookups, macros and index)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
