Job summary

Montage Deer Valley, part of Montage International, is seeking a Pastry Cook III to craft pastries and desserts for restaurant and banquet service within a luxury hotel setting.

You will mentor staff, develop pastry creations, and maintain high standards of sanitation and product knowledge while supporting guest experiences and teamwork in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Qualifications

• One year minimum of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the highest quality of food products for the restaurant and banquets according to menu descriptions and hotel standards.
• Mentor Cook III and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Show passion for baking and pastry creation.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of food products, sanitation standards and culinary techniques to execute dishes at the highest level.
• Regularly restock kitchen supplies and food items while keeping your area clean.
• Fulfill guest orders promptly with attention to detail.
• Work collaboratively while maintaining professionalism and delivering WOW moments.

Your Journey

• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business need

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis
• Most work tasks are performed indoors.
• Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F).
