Job summary

Compeer Financial invites emerging professionals to join a paid internship in which you will assist New Markets with lending and product development. The role offers a hybrid work model with part-time school-year hours and full-time summer work in multiple offices, including Naperville, IL, Sun Prairie, WI, and Prairie du Sac, WI.

You will gain hands-on experience in program projects, USDA/FSA program reviews, and data-driven analyses while developing essential financial and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Working toward bachelor's or associate's degree in agricultural business, business administration, finance, economics, or data science.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented; accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program projects, including GroundBreakers (Young, Beginning and Small Farmers Program).
• Research programs and practices of other Farm Credit associations and financial institutions.
• Review written reports for applicable federal programs within USDA, FSA, etc.
• Summarize program details and criteria and determine if Compeer is using them.
• Analyze the FCA YBS Annual Report against Compeer results.

This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This intern will work part-time during the school year and full-time through the summer of 2027.

The internship is located out of our Sun Prairie, WI; Prairie du Sac, WI; or Naperville, IL office locations.

Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Base Pay$19-$20 USD
