Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is offering an internship across the golf operations of our multi-course facility in Georgia. You will be assigned to a home course and gain exposure to maintenance, retail, group golf, events, F&B, accounting, HR, and more as part of a hands-on learning program.

Interns attend seminars on career advancement and leadership while working under the guidance of Head and Assistant Professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PGA Golf Management or Sports Management degree.
• Interest in golf operations and team support.
• Willingness to learn across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist outside operations and event facilitation.
• Support par stock level reporting and merchandising.
• Help with junior clinics and tournament support.
• Coordinate with operations on opening/closing procedures.

Description

The rate of pay is $12/hr + variable income from commission, lessons, etc. We are looking for candidates who are pursuing a PGA Golf Management or Sports Management degree.

Job Details

The goal of our program is to provide each student with a unique learning experience. During an internship at Reynolds Lake Oconee, you will be exposed to the different facets of a multi‑course operation. Each intern will be assigned to a “home” course. Internship students will be exposed to all aspects of golf operation, depending on the level of internship, including:

• Maintenance
• Retail
• Group Golf
• Tournament Director
• Food & Beverage
• Accounting
• Human Resources
• Kingdom of Golf
• Taylor Made Performance Lab

Interns will also attend 1 or 2 seminars, including:

• Career Advancement - HP’s & VP
• Leadership—Senior Management

PGA-PGM Education

Reynolds Lake Oconee will assist with completion of work experiences through goal setting, study groups, and individual meetings. Goals will be set with Head Professional, monthly review of goals with Head Professional, and study groups with Assistant Professionals.
