Responsibilities

• Complete assigned special projects within departments, working closely with department managers
• Perform administrative functions to support the department such as answering phones, ordering supplies, distribution of mail
• Assist Community Lending Specialists with requesting and reviewing documentation needed to meet DU and loan program requirements
• Follow up with applicants and provided guidance/assistance as needed with obtaining proper documentation to ensure timely processing of their loan request
• Work with Community Lending Specialist to coordinate marketing and outreach strategies and homebuyer/financial literacy workshops
• Attend designated training classes
• Participate in community service
• Attend informative events to provide interns with understanding of bank functions
• Present an overview of department and projects, and provide a program evaluation
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Overview

The purpose of this internship is to equip the intern with on-the-job training and work experience within the Community Lending department, preparing the intern for a career in the financial services industry. The intern will provide needed support to the Mortgage Department throughout the duration of the internship by coordinating and completing special projects, while also participating in community service, networking, and training events.

Summer Internship program is located in the Jackson, MS area.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned special projects within departments, working closely with department managers
• Perform administrative functions to support the department such as answering phones, ordering of supplies, distribution of mail, filing, etc
• Assist Community Lending Specialists with requesting and reviewing documentation needed to meet DU and loan program requirements
• Follow up with applicants and provided guidance/assistance as needed with obtaining proper documentation to ensure a timely processing of their loan request.
• Work in conjunction with Community Lending Specialisist to assist with the coordination of marketing and outreach strategies as well as homebuyer and financial literacy workshops for defined market
