Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a student intern to train with management and staff, gaining hands-on experience in their field of study. You will work on real tasks related to your major, under supervision, with assignments aligned to your academic focus.

This paid internship is on-site at a FedEx Freight location in the continental US; interns who relocate 50+ miles may receive a $2,000 relocation allowance after start.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at a Junior level or above (or have graduated within the last 12 months) at an accredited college or university.
• Major or course of study toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, marketing, web/digital design or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Additional knowledge may be required depending on the functional area.
• Complete courses related to the assigned department.
• Must be reliable and follow through.
• Must be able to complete assignments and solve problems.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with coding tools such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript.

Job description

Individuals who relocate 50 or more miles for this position may qualify for a $2,000 relocation allowance following the start of the internship, subject to satisfying documentation requirements

This position can be domiciled at any FedEx Freight location within the continental US. You will be required to work onsite at the FedEx Freight location.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Train with department management, professional and support staff in order to gain work experience. Gain a working knowledge of applications and tools related to assigned functional area; perform assigned tasks and project work with supervision; specific duties/tasks determined by department management. Assignments are directly related to Intern's field of study.

Pay Transparency

The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location(s). If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the pay information represents the minimum and maximum range for all levels. Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as tenure, market level, and pay at the location for this job. Eligible employees offered health, vision, dental, life, AD&D, STD, and LTD insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, 2 weeks paid parental leave, paid bereavement, 6.67-13.34 hours vacation per month based on service time, 8 paid holidays.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Colorado Pay Ranges: Colorado Springs, Grand Junction $20.00 - $40.00 per hour; Henderson, Mead $20.00 - $40.00 per hour; Gypsum $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Illinois Pay Ranges: East Moline, Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford $20.00 - $40.00 per hour; Aurora, Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion $20.00 - $40.00per hour

New York Pay Ranges: Plattsburgh, Buffalo, Watertown, North Chili, East Syracuse, Nichols $20.00 - $40.00 per hour; Bethpage, Montgomery, West Babylon $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 17 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
