Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks an Intern in Mechanical Engineering in Carlsbad, CA to support new product development and factory activities. You will collaborate with mechanical designers on CAD models, documentation, and ECO processing.

The role targets students pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in ME/AE/EM/Materials Science or related fields, with exposure to CAD or FEA tools preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field at an accredited university.
• CAD or analysis (FEA) tools exposure, and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures and mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products
• Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation
• Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO's) as required

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $25.50/hr - $48/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
