Job summary

Canadian Solar is seeking an Intern for IT Infrastructure Support in Walnut Creek, CA, hybrid role. You will assist with small IT projects, hardware/software rollouts, and end-user support under senior IT staff.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Autopilot, Intune, 365, AD, and Azure while documenting processes and contributing to security and efficiency across the IT team. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, and Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordination of small-scale IT infrastructure projects, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the planning and execution of hardware/software rollouts, office moves, and system upgrades in collaboration with senior IT staff.
  • Track project tasks, update timelines, and report on progress to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Participate in team meetings to provide updates, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment between IT infrastructure goals and business objectives.
  • Configure workstation PCs using Microsoft Autopilot and Intune.
  • Provide support and technical guidance on first-level support tickets and issue escalation.
  • Document processes and create knowledge base articles to provide self-service to end users.
  • Identify security risks and ensure they are effectively handled or escalated when required.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, assisting with IT Infrastructure-related inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure all problems are logged and tracked in the IT ticketing system in accordance with agreed-upon service levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
