Job summary

Tallgrass invites Summer 2027 IT Infrastructure (Finance) interns to join our Lakewood, CO office for a 10-week, full-time, in-person program from May through August 2027. You will support end users, troubleshoot desktop systems and software, and document resolutions in the ticketing system.

The internship offers hands-on exposure to production and development environments, onboarding of new users, and collaboration with IT teams, with compensation ranging from $24.81 to $29.43 per hour.

What Else You Need to Know

Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Lakewood, CO. office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.

  • Pay Range $24.81-$29.43 USD Hourly
  • The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include; paid time off, a housing stipend, and more.
What will you do:

You will be part of a Team working together to accomplish daily tasks. We strive to have our interns take on the same responsibilities as our regular staff do. You will quickly learn the current process, use published documentation, and work on customer support tickets to resolve end-user issues/requests.

You can expect:
  • Responsibilities include supporting all production and development systems, troubleshooting, and resolution of desktop computers, applications, and related technology.
  • Generates tickets from inbound calls, emails, walk-in customers, and chat sessions, and records detailed progress and resolutions for all tickets accordingly.
  • Perform system software upgrades and install service packs and patches as needed.
  • Delve into and achieve an understanding of a problem or request to offer the most appropriate possible solution.
  • Configure, modify, and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboards, and printers.
  • May perform various changes to user accounts via Active Directory.
  • Assists in creating and maintaining internal articles and/or documentation.
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • May assist with onboarding of new users.
  • Utilize software and hardware tools to identify, diagnose, and drive the resolution of problems and factors affecting network integrity.

Gain a solid understanding of the various tasks within an Information Technology (IT) Department. The focus of the position will be centered around IT Customer Support. As part of normal day-to-day activities, you will learn what the various IT roles encompass from Server, Networking, Applications, and Cyber Security.
