What You'll Be Doing

During this 12-week internship, the Application Security Intern will gain hands‑on experience supporting Church Mutual's cybersecurity program while learning how security is integrated into the software development lifecycle. Working alongside security professionals and software developers, you will help identify, assess, and reduce application security risks.

Responsibilities

Here's What We Expect

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Basic understanding of software development and web applications
• Interest in cybersecurity and application security
• Preferred candidates will be entering Junior or Senior year status in Fall 2027

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or experience in cybersecurity, software development, or networking
• Familiarity with common web application vulnerabilities
• Exposure to Git, scripting, or security tools through coursework, projects, or personal interests
