Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) invites an IT Intern to our Irving, TX Service Center to learn essential IT functions and support a dynamic IT team in the electrical wholesale industry.

Reports to: Manager of Learning Development - IT. This internship emphasizes hands-on learning, documentation review, data entry, and collaborative project work in a professional office setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future).
• High School diploma.
• Actively pursuing secondary degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or related field.
• Self starter and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individuals.
• Ability to discreetly handle confidential and sensitive matters.
• Conscientious and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Learn aspects of IT functions as they relate to the CED business.
• Communicate in English – in written and spoken form.
• Review, edit, and format instructional documentation and other IT training materials.
• Assist with special projects.
• Provide administrative support with data entry and clerical tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CED is seeking an energetic and talented Intern in our Irving, TX Service Center to work alongside experienced Information Technology (IT) teams to learn select aspects of IT skills in the electrical wholesale industry.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This position may require sitting and working at a computer workstation for extended periods. Filing duties require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Exact conditions will vary based on the intern's current assignment.
