The role focuses on supporting process improvements, labor analysis, and capital expenditure studies under close engineering supervision. The candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related fields and will contribute to LEAN initiatives and workflow optimization on site.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Open to Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Quality or Manufacturing engineering majors.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial engineering tasks to gain experience with manufacturing operations and programs.
• Conduct operation and variance analyses and propose method improvements.
• Assist in auditing labor standards for accuracy.
• Support economic evaluation of improvement proposals.
• Prepare workflows, layouts, sequences and manpower charts.
• Assist in capital expenditure analysis and forecasting.
• Support space planning for efficient usage; develop LEAN implementation plans.
• No required travel.

Essential Functions:

• Performs a variety of industrial engineering tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the manufacturing operations staff and Company programs, methods, and practices
• Performs operation analysis, variance analysis, and method improvements studies
• Assists in auditing labor standards for accuracy
• Assists in the economic evaluation of suggestions and method improvement studies
• Prepares work flow, layout, sequence, manpower and other related charts, graphs and reports
• Assists in capital expenditure analysis, justification, and forecast
• Assists in plant and office space planning for efficient and effective utilization
• Assists in developing LEAN implementation plans and process improvement
• No required travel

Qualifications:

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering , Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences or related field
