Job summary

OGE Energy Corp. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform on-site duties across our facilities. The role involves supporting electrical and mechanical tasks, following standardized processes, and working under direct supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and ongoing technical studies, with strong safety awareness and proficiency in MS Office and basic tools. Overtime and travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and currently pursuing an Associate's Degree or higher in a technical discipline (e.g., Electronics, Engineering Technology, Power Plant Operations).
• Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with members at all levels and with outside professionals.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to diagnose problems from evidence and take corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• May drive automotive equipment to and from work sites.
• Prepares simple reports or maintenance records and performs routine duties.
• Assembles tools, supplies, materials and equipment for maintenance tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Assists skilled craft workers by furnishing and using simple tools and materials.
• Operates machines and equipment.
• Cleans work area and machines.
• Provides directions, instructions and responses to routine inquiries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• May drive automotive equipment to and from work sites.
• Prepares simple reports or keeps maintenance records, and other routine duties in various craft trades.
• May assemble tools, supplies, materials, and equipment, and assist in maintaining them in serviceable condition.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Assists skilled craft workers in a variety of maintenance, repair, or construction work by furnishing and using simple tools, materials and supplies.
• Operates machines and equipment.
• Cleans work area machines.
• Assists the department and members by providing directions, instructions, and responses to routine inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED And currently pursuing an Associate's Degree or higher in a Technical discipline (i.e., Electronics, Engineering Technology, Power Plant Operations, etc.).

WORKING CONDITIONS

• May be required to work overtime as needed.
• Required to work in both an office environment and in outside weather conditions.
• May require travel to various job sites and facilities occasionally requiring staying overnight.
