Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a college intern for the Human Resources department at Fab 4 in Gresham, Oregon. This internship will provide real world insight into the functions and processes of HR management including recruitment, administration and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and dependable with the ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding of new hires, including processing paperwork and filing.
• Assist with recruiting coordination, including phone screening and testing sessions.
• Assist with scheduling and confirming candidate interviews.
• Interface with HRIS Workday, including data entry and document uploads.
• Create new hire orientation and benefit packets.
• Maintain file room and update documents as necessary.
• Represent Microchip at career fairs and local events.
• Support other projects and duties as assigned.

• Assist with recruiting coordination, including phone screening and proctoring applicant testing sessions
• Assist with scheduling and confirming candidate interviews
• Interface with HRIS platform Workday, including data entry and uploading personnel documents
• Create new hire orientation and benefit packets
• Maintain file room and update documents as necessary
• Represent Microchip at career fairs and local events
• Other projects and duties as assigned
