Job summary

Amcor is seeking an HR Generalist Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting day-to-day HR operations, partnering with the HR team and business leaders in Wisconsin. You will work on employee relations, talent acquisition, HR data, onboarding, and engagement initiatives, contributing to key processes and programs while developing foundational HR skills.

This role offers exposure to HR systems and reporting, collaboration with professionals, and opportunities to support continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior standing by June (HR or related field preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Interest in building a career in Human Resources, particularly in a generalist capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Support the tactical management of daily HR operations, including administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Partner with HR team members and Shared Services to address employee inquiries and resolve basic HR‑related issues.
  • Assist with HR transactions in HRIS systems, reporting, and maintaining accurate employee data.
  • Provide support for talent acquisition activities, including sourcing, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Help facilitate employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, focus groups, and action planning.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including documentation and tracking.
  • Support employee development programs and training coordination.
  • Contribute to employee relations efforts by helping track, document, and follow up on cases as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain simple, repeatable processes to improve HR workflows and efficiency.
  • Compile, analyze, and present HR data and reports to support decision‑making.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and HR‑related projects.
