Clearway Energy Group is seeking a GIS Development Intern as part of its 10-week Summer Internship Program starting June 1, 2026. The selected intern will support data preparation, GIS mapping, and learn about renewable energy project developments.
Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in GIS, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields. The internship offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment and network with professionals.
GIS Development Intern will be part of the Clearway Development Team and will report to the GIS Senior Manager. The Development Team is responsible for the development and execution into construction of Clearway Energy Group’s 10 GW solar, wind, and storage project pipeline. The team works closely with the Origination, Engineering, Project Finance and Construction teams across the full project lifecycle from origination to commissioning and all associated activities required to bring projects to successful commercial operation.
This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning on June 1, 2026.
We are looking for current juniors or rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in GIS, Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science or related field.
Throughout this summer internship program, you’ll get exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. At Clearway, you’ll gain access to an innovative and fast-paced work environment and you’ll also participate in networking and learning events with your fellow intern cohort.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is not eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
Salary Range Across All U.S. Locations: $22—$26 USD
