Job summary

Vaughn Industries in Carey, Ohio is seeking a Fabrication Engineer Intern to gain hands-on design, fabrication and construction experience. You will work alongside engineers, fabricators and project professionals while contributing from the design stage through fabrication and installation.

• Currently enrolled in a college program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Will learn and work in both office/design and fabrication/field settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; CAD familiarity is a plus.

As a Fabrication Engineer Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to projects from the design stage through fabrication and installation, gaining valuable insight into how engineering concepts are transformed into real-world structures and components.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans, or a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with CAD or 3D modeling software is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in both an office/design environment and fabrication or field settings
