Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking an Intern (f/m/d) to support embedded software development for automotive networking in Munich, Sindelfingen or Hamburg. You will work closely with engineers on real-world projects involving automotive Ethernet, networking stacks, and system-level debugging.

Responsibilities include developing embedded C software for ECUs, evaluating RTOS stacks (FreeRTOS/Zephyr/Linux), and performing root-cause analyses along with design and documentation tasks.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded or Automotive Systems.
  • Strong C programming skills for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with OSI layers, AUTOSAR concepts.
  • Experience with at least one RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr or Linux).
  • Experience with low-level debugging and hardware bring-up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded C software for automotive ECUs.
  • Work with TCP/IP stacks from LwIP, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, and Linux environments to develop standalone SW for automotive use cases.
  • Debug software and hardware issues using Lauterbach, P&E Micro, or similar tools.

  • Support software design, and documentation activities.
