Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Water Engineering Designer intern for our Bellevue office for the Summer of 2027. You will assist engineers on water and wastewater projects, including pump stations and treatment facilities, gaining hands-on experience across multiple infrastructure disciplines.

You will develop skills in design, analysis, and collaboration with engineers, drafters, and staff while contributing to feasibility studies and permitting processes.

Qualifications

• Currently a 3rd-year undergraduate in civil engineering or related field.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation preferred.
• ArcGIS experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary detailed design for water/wastewater projects.
• Help with project monitoring and scheduling.

Job Summary

TYLin is looking for an intern to join our Bellevue office for the Summer of 2027. As a Water Engineering Designer intern, you will assist engineers and engineering staff within a variety of both vertical and linear infrastructure projects, including pump stations, reservoirs, treatment facilities, water distribution and transmission system, collection systems and more. This internship is your chance to be part of a collaborative community where you can expand your knowledge and sharpen your skills through hands‑on meaningful work.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Assist with the preparation of feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary detailed design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling
• Perform calculations and analysis
• Assist in applying for and obtaining the necessary permits and approvals to proceed with construction
• Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff

Your Education and Experience

• Requires current 3rd year standing as an undergraduate in an accredited Civil Engineering program or related discipline
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience is preferred
• Experience with ArcGIS is an asset
