Job summary

NWU in Minnesota is seeking an intern to assist with designing and validating alternate electronic components, reducing costs or addressing obsolescence, and supporting PCB schematics and layout. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware testing, contribute to failure analysis and corrective actions, and gain hands-on experience in PCBA design and power electronics.

Enrollment in a Bachelor's program, legal work authorization in the U.S., and proximity to Eden Prairie are

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Preference for electrical engineering or similar degrees.
• Enrollment for at least one more semester after the internship (graduation December 2027 or later).
• Residency or schooling within 50 miles of Mequon, WI or Eden Prairie, MN.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
• Coursework or project experience in PCBA design and layout, Power Electronics, Motor Control, FPGA, DSP, etc.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Jama, and LTSpice.
• Experience with electrical design and schematic capture.
• Exposure to industrial communication technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting technical problems.
• Curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and solving engineering problems.

• Hourly pay ranging from $22 to $32, based on skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
