United Rentals, Inc. is offering a Service Technician Intern opportunity in Raleigh, NC. You will learn equipment applications, perform manual tasks, and assist seasoned mechanics while delivering exceptional customer service.

This is a strong entry point for a technical career with potential advancement into service technician roles upon degree or certification attainment. You will be part of a team that emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on learning in a fast-paced branch environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; pursuing technical degree or certification.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the various types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications.
• Learn manual and maintenance tasks to support the branch operation.
• Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics.
• Support service technicians as needed and contribute to a positive customer experience.

You will also learn both manual and maintenance tasks to support the branch operation, as well as, provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers. This is a great opportunity for someone currently in or receiving certification from a Technical school or program. Be prepared to enter full time employment whether it be automotive, diesel or any other mechanical background.
