Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician Intern to learn equipment types and their applications while supporting branch operations. You will perform manual and maintenance tasks and assist seasoned mechanics, delivering excellent customer service daily.

The role offers a path toward service technician positions upon receipt of degree or certification, with a focus on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and be pursuing technical degree or certification.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency.

As a Service Technician Intern, you will learn the various types of equipment that United Rentals rents and their applications. You will also learn both manual and maintenance tasks to support the branch operation, as well as, provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics. Every day, you can improve and challenge yourself, and if you have the desire and ambition, you'll have the potential to work towards service technician roles in our Service Department upon receipt of degree and/or certification. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

This is a great opportunity for someone currently in or receiving certification from a Technical school or program.

Be prepared to enter full time employment whether it be automotive, diesel or any other mechanical background.

Requirements
