Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Service Technician Intern in Harrisonburg, VA. You will learn the equipment types, their applications, and perform maintenance tasks to support the branch operation while assisting seasoned mechanics.

This is a great opportunity for someone currently in or pursuing technical training. Be prepared to enter full-time employment upon certification or degree, with emphasis on safety, customer service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and pursuing technical degree or certification.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the various types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications.
• Learn both manual and maintenance tasks to support branch operations and assist seasoned mechanics.
• Provide labor assistance to service technicians and aim for a future full-time role.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to customers as part of the service team.

As a Service Technician Intern, you will learn the various types of equipment that United Rentals rents and their applications. You will also learn both manual and maintenance tasks to support the branch operation, as well as, provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics.
