Job summary

FedEx Internship in Memphis, TN offers hands-on projects to gain real-world experience in your field of study and contribute to enterprise initiatives. You must be enrolled or a recent graduate (within 6 months) with a 3.0+ GPA and a degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or related quantitative discipline.

The program runs Summer 2027 (June 7–August 13, 2027), requires 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, is hybrid (onsite Monday–Thursday, remote Friday),

As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.

Essential Functions

• Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.
• Participates in various networking and/or community service events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Degree: Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or related quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as a part of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Excel, Power BI, or SQL; interest in product management, business analysis, digital transformation, AI, and automation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and workflow documentation skills. Support Product Managers by analyzing operational data, documenting business requirements, researching AI-enabled workflows, and recommending improvements to customer, broker, and employee experiences.

Pay Transparency

Pay

Pay is $25/hour for undergraduate students and $30/hour for graduate students. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship.
