Job summary

Acuity Inc. Internship Program offers a 10–12‑week immersive experience (June – August, 40 hours/week) designed to cultivate high-potential candidates through hands-on projects and real-world experiences.

Interns will align their strengths with the strategic needs of the business and network with leaders across Acuity Inc. We prefer interns with one or two semesters remaining who will be eligible for our BUILD Program, a full-time rotational path for recent graduates to explore functional areas

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Internship or project experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA five days a week.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Support identification, evaluation, and prioritization of growth opportunities and investments aligned with AYI strategic goals; build company profiles, perform financial review and analysis, and prepare deal assessment presentations.
• Assist in assessing industries and competitive landscapes to identify trends and growth opportunities informing strategic planning.
• Support execution of internal corporate finance and strategic initiatives through cross-functional collaboration with senior management.
• Develop core corporate finance skills including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and company valuation.
• Translate data into executive-ready presentation formats for leadership.

The Acuity Inc. Internship Program offers a 10–12-week immersive experience (June – August, 40 hours/week) designed to cultivate high-potential candidates through hands‑on projects and real-world experiences. Interns will align their strengths and interests with the strategic needs of the business.

In addition to contributing to impactful projects and transformative processes, interns will have the chance to network with leaders across Acuity Inc.

We prefer interns who have one or two semesters remaining in their degree program, as they will be eligible for our BUILD Program upon completing the internship. Our BUILD Program is a full-time, entry‑level rotational program that allows recent graduates to explore various areas within a functional domain. These experiences enable young talent to expand their skill set, build their network within the company, and discover their passions early in their careers.

This is a fully onsite position. Employees are expected to work from our Atlanta, GA office five days per week.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Support identification, evaluation, and prioritization of growth opportunities and investments aligned within AYI strategic goals. This may involve the building of company profiles, financial review and analysis, and development of potential deal assessment presentations
• Support assessment of industries and competitive landscape for Acuity's businesses, helping to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities that ultimately inform strategic planning discussions
• Support execution of internal corporate finance and strategic initiatives through cross-functional partnership, with frequent engagement with senior management
• Develop core corporate finance skills including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and company valuation
• Develop the ability to analyze, synthesize, and translate data into executive-ready presentation formats

Skills And Minimum Experience Required

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree
• Relevant internship or project experience
• A minimum GPA of 3.0
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven problem‑solving capabilities

• Experience leading teams or organizations
• Up to 20% travel
