Job summary

PAR Systems invites engineering students to join as Controls Engineer Interns across our core business units. You will gain hands-on experience with PLCs, robots, servo motors, VFDs, and computer vision, contributing to the design, troubleshooting, and integration of automation systems.

You will work with mentors and leaders to develop technology, software solutions, and successful project integrations, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, learning, and growth from day one.

Qualifications

  • Junior or rising Senior in a relevant Engineering discipline (i.e., mechanical, electrical, controls, computer, mechatronics).
  • Competent in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Some experience or coursework with robotics, automation systems, circuit design, panel design/layout, control components, real-time OS, software development, PLC programming and process engineering preferred.
  • U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

  • Assist design and troubleshooting of software and hardware for integration of manufactured systems and products for customers.
  • Collaborate on development of new technology and software solutions.

We'reseeking Controls Engineer Interns in all three of our core business units (Critical Handling Solutions, Advanced Manufacturing, and Automated Assembly) to gain firsthand career building experience with technologies such as PLCs, robots, servo motors, VFDs, computer vision and more. TheControls Engineer Intern jumps right into theteamdesigning and troubleshooting both software and hardware necessary for integration of manufactured systems and productsthat are key deliverables to customers. No idea is too small or discovery too insignificant. We're always looking for the best innovations.

Success Criteria

Bring the theoretical principles and techniques you learned in school to life by collaborating with experienced professionals and working on a wide range of projects. Qualifications
