Intern – Construction Management / Civil Engineering

Location: Rio Grande City, TX

When: Anticipated to begin in July 2027, with the possibility of starting sooner.

ECC is seeking a motivated junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field to join our experienced construction team in Rio Grande City, TX for a Border Patrol Station project. Local candidates are highly preferred, but willing to consider out-of-state candidates. Thison-site internship offers hands‑on experience supporting field operations, quality management, project administration, and construction execution activities on a major U.S. military construction project. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in gaining experience in Construction, Civil and Structural Engineering, Fire Protection, Environmental, Estimating, Project Controls and Project Management.

Learning Opportunities:

Interns will gain exposure to large-scale military construction projects, scheduling, quality control procedures, subcontractor management, and field execution on a project site. Participants will receive mentorship from experienced construction professionals while developing a comprehensive understanding of field-based project management. This internship offers valuable insight into construction operations and potential career paths supporting projects with potential full-time employment upon graduation.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a field-based construction environment

• Ability to obtain a military base pass if hired
• Ability to operate motor vehicle and clean driving record

ECC's targeted hourly rate for this position is$25.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, and business needs.
