Consumers Energy is seeking college students for a Business Internship Program in Michigan. This hybrid role combines virtual work with on-site days Mon, Tue, and Thu, with housing stipends possible for those relocating within commuting distance.

Interns will explore projects across finance, governance, strategy, and more. Applicants should be pursuing a business degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Job description

Consumers Energy is Michigan's largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located throughout Michigan's lower Peninsula. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance from the assigned location(s) or willing to find accommodations. Housing and living stipend arrangements may be available.

The Business Internship Program is geared towards current college students who are earning a business degree or other related eld. We are also looking for those who have a passion for learning the inside workings of a large utility company within the energy industry. The Internship Program at Consumers Energy has core principles in place to challenge the intern and practically apply theories learned in their educational journey.

What you will do:

Current college students of all levels will work as part of a larger team to provide hands-on support and development for aspects of our business. This could include work in; project management, emergency management, nance, human resources, strategy, governance and compliance, supplier diversity, inventory and sourcing analytics, issue resolution, public affairs, accounting and more all while helping create a better tomorrow for the communities we serve!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
