Job summary

A leading engineering firm is actively seeking an Automation Engineer Intern in Raleigh, North Carolina. This internship offers a unique chance to collaborate on cutting-edge projects within the life sciences and food and beverage sectors. Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Interest in Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  • Must be willing to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients and contractors).
  • Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications.

Job Description

We are actively seeking an Automation Engineer Intern to join CRB. Responsibilities
  • Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
  • Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  • Must be willing to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients and contractors).
  • Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real‑world engineering applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working towards Fundamental of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering software applications including computer‑aided drafting, process modeling and calculations programs.
  • Familiarity with industry‑specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry.
  • Prior internship or co‑op experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
