Allied Mineral Products is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern in Automation and Controls Engineering to join the Global Plant Engineering team in Columbus, Ohio. You will support various projects and work under the Engineering Manager to reach department goals.

Responsibilities include learning electrical/control fundamentals, troubleshooting PLCs and drives, updating AutoCAD drawings, collecting data, and assisting with equipment specifications and PLC programming training.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing an Engineering degree.
  • Sophomore status minimum.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA; provide current transcript.
  • Available to work at least 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Dependable and able to meet attendance requirements.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to see work through to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Intern - Automation and Controls Engineering (Summer 2027)

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We are currently seeking an Intern - Automation and Controls Engineering (Summer 2027) . This role will assist with various projects within Global Plant Engineering. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, and assistance may be requested by the Engineering Manager to accomplish other tasks as necessary to reach the department goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
