Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber seeks an Intern Architect in Grand Rapids, MI to support design development through construction documents. You will work with a multidisciplinary Architecture team on education, healthcare and commercial projects, gaining hands‑on experience.

You should have a Bachelor or Master of Architecture and internship experience, plus proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. This role offers collaborative growth in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited university.
• Relevant architectural internship or co-op experience.
• Experience developing projects with Revit and SketchUp.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and similar tools.
• Interest in pursuing architectural registration.
• Strong design, visualization and presentation skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, adaptable and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers and other team members.
• Assist design development from concepts to construction documents.
• Prepare building concepts, design documents and construction docs.
• Create/modify project models and drawings in Revit and related software.
• Research materials/products to support project development.
• Coordinate documents with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in meetings, design reviews and site visits as needed.
• Support creation of accurate, high-quality deliverables.
• Assist with other project and team responsibilities.
