• Knowledge of AI system design, measurement, testing techniques, SQL, and structured or unstructured data processing.
• Strong analytical and creative problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Exposure to cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and distributed computing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and algorithms that address complex business challenges.
• Apply Generative AI techniques to fine‑tune models, support synthetic data generation and data augmentation, and engineer AI agents using commercial and open‑source large language models.

Your Role At Sephora

As the Intern, Machine Learning Engineer, you will support advanced machine learning and Generative AI initiatives that address complex business challenges. You will collaborate with cross‑functional partners to develop data‑driven solutions, experiment with emerging AI techniques, and help deliver working applications that advance Sephora's AI capabilities.

What You'll Accomplish:

Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and algorithms that address complex business challenges.

Work schedule must align with 9-5PM, Pacific Standard Time

Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.

Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full‑time hybrid positions*

The target hourly pay for this position is $30.00- $30.00.
