Job summary

Sephora Internship for AI Analyst–Merchandising in San Francisco combines hands-on AI-driven decision support with exposure to Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, and Data teams. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Basic understanding of Linux, networking, APIs, Git, cloud computing, containers, or CI/CD concepts through coursework, projects, or prior experience.
• Ability to break down problems, learn unfamiliar technology, document work clearly, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to one or more cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code or CI/CD tools, containers, observability concepts, secure software development, or AI/ML platform technologies.
• Eligibility requires graduating in 2027 or 2028 and working in PST time, with remote US residency and SF relocation readiness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze merchandising, sales, inventory, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist in developing AI use cases related to assortment optimization, new product launches, pricing, promotions, and vendor management.
• Leverage Generative AI to automate research, business analysis, and reporting processes.
• Support the development of AI-powered insights and decision-support tools for merchants and planners.
• Present project outcomes, evidence, lessons learned, and recommended next steps at internship culmination.

Position title:

Your role at Sephora...

As the Intern, AI Analyst-Merchandising, you will help accelerate AI-driven decision-making across Merchandising. This role will partner with Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, and Data teams to leverage AI, analytics, and automation to improve assortment decisions, promotional effectiveness, vendor management, inventory performance, and customer experience.

Analyze merchandising, sales, inventory, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities.

• Assist in developing AI use cases related to assortment optimization, new product launches, pricing, promotions, and vendor management. Leverage Generative AI to automate research, business analysis, and reporting processes.
• Support the development of AI-powered insights and decision-support tools for merchants and planners.

Present the project outcome, evidence, lessons learned, and recommended next steps at the internship culmination.

• Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions*
• Available from June 14 - August 20, 2027

The target hourly pay for this position is $30.00- $30.00.
