Invitation Homes seeks a driven student for its 10-week paid summer internship within the Investment Management Group. You will support underwriting, financial modeling, and investment memo preparation for single-family Build-to-Rent opportunities in Dallas, TX.

Ideal candidates are rising seniors or graduate students pursuing Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or related fields, with strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn technical tools and collaborate across teams.

Qualifikationen

• Rising senior or graduate student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields with expected graduation between December 2028 and May 2028.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with a technical skill (e.g., Excel, AI, Python, Tableau, SQL) through coursework or employment is preferred but not required.

Invitation Homes 10-week paid summer internship is the first step in building a career as an Investment Management Group (IMG) associate. The IMG Acquisitions Intern role is a unique opportunity to learn the due diligence and acquisition process firsthand. We are seeking a motivated individual who is ready to apply business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The Acquisitions Intern will assist in all facets of the acquisition process including building financial models, underwriting new investment opportunities, and investment committee preparation.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with underwriting single-family residential Build-to-Rent (BTR) projects, development opportunities, one-off purchases, and portfolio transactions
• Collaborate with analysts and associates to draft investment memos presented to the Investment Committee
• Learn to model cash flows, return projections, and other financial metrics to assess investment viability
• Perform analysis on real estate market trends and investment performance to aid decision making
• Ensure data accuracy through review of financial models and investment performance data

Who We’re Looking For

• Rising senior or grad student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related fields with an expected graduation date between December 2028 and May 2028
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience utilizing a technical skill (e.g., Excel, AI, Python, Tableau, SQL, etc.) through coursework, personal initiatives, or previous employment is preferred but not required
• Strong analytical mindset, eagerness to learn technical tools, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt, problem-solve, and collaborate effectively
• Desire to work in Dallas, Texas

Salary Range

$17.90 - $31.03
