Sunoco, L.P. is seeking energetic interns for a 12-week Accounting internship in Dallas. You will work on high-impact projects, interact with senior leadership, and gain exposure to the oil and gas industry in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with expected graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028. Opportunities to express location preference available during interviews.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in college; open to candidates of all degrees if the work sounds intriguing.
  • Preferably junior status
  • Self-motivated with involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Distinctive problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity to solve complex problems.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability to get stuff done with coaching and feedback.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL a plus.

Sunoco, L.P., the leading operator of critical energy infrastructure and North America’s largest independent fuel distributor, is looking for interns to join one of our fast-paced, high impact teams in Dallas.

This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2027. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

Summary

During your internship you will have direct access to senior leadership within the organization as well as the opportunity to work on high-impact strategic projects in addition to your core departmental responsibilities. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in learning about the oil & gas industry in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to express their department and location of preference during the interview process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (dependent on department):

  • Refine existing team and organization dashboards and reports that drive strategic decision-making
  • Develop models to help us assess commercial opportunities or optimize current processes that could drive incremental profitability
  • Serve as a thought partner to your teammates and actively contribute to the team’s strong problem-solving orientation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure your work is understood and supported across the organization
