Job summary

Delek US is offering a Summer Internship in Arkansas, designed to give students hands-on experience within a diversified downstream energy company. The intern will assist with day-to-day activities, project work, and data analysis, while gaining exposure to department operations and processes.

You will work alongside Delek professionals, supporting department-specific functions and business processes, and develop skills that contribute to overall operations and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Internal Audit, Commercial, Data & Technology, or Refining/Logistics.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher with good academic standing.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week during Summer Internship Program.
• Willingness to learn and work in cross-functional teams.

We are a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining and logistics.

• Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day

Job Summary

The Intern supports department initiatives by assisting with day‑to‑day activities, project work, and analysis related to the department’s objectives.

The Intern will work alongside Delek professionals to support [insert department‑specific functions, projects, or business processes], gaining insight into how the department contributes to overall business operations.

Refining Specific Required Verbiage

While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, working at heights, and outside weather conditions.

Physical activities include climbing, standing, crawling, confined space entry, and maneuvering through operating process units. While performing the duties of this position in the refinery, appropriate personal protective equipment will be worn as required.

Education And Experience

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• No Licensure or Certification Required.

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
• Accounting/Finance/Internal Audit: Accounting, Finance or similar degree
• Commercial: Finance, Business, Analytics, or similar degree
• Data & Technology: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or similar technology degree
• Refining/Logistics: Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher with good academic standing
• Availability to work 40 hours/per week during Summer Internship Program
• Accounting/Finance/Internal Audit: Business, Accounting and/or Finance Principles
• Commercial: Business, Accounting and/or Finance Principles
• Data & Technology: IT Equipment and Software
• Refining/Logistics: Process - Reliability – industrial equipment / other
• A self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Ability to record and present data in a clear and concise manner
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Solid software application skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Good organizational & Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness and desire for continual learning and self-development
