Job summary

C&S Companies is seeking an intern for our Construction Management team in the Buffalo, NY area. You will work with leaders and mentors to develop professional and technical skills while contributing to active projects.

Responsibilities include assisting in project coordination from concept to final plans, collecting data, and applying safe work practices. A supportive, growth-focused environment is offered through our internship program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; sophomore year preferred.
• Flexible, detail-oriented team player who can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Previous internship experience or related student involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine aspects of Construction Management under close supervision.
• May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform tasks.
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
• Assist in coordinating projects from conception through final plan preparations.
• Provide support to staff members as needed.
• Utilize safe work practices in accordance with standards.
• Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe conditions to a supervisor or Health and Safety Department.

Position Overview

As an intern on our Construction Management team, you will be an integral part of projects and support key members of our team. Our internship program provides all interns an opportunity to meet with leadership and work with mentors on both professional and technical development. We also have a lot of fun - between company events, intern socials, and team bonding, our interns become a part of our ONE C&S mentality.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of Construction Management, requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in course of study.
• May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform tasks.
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
• Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
• Provide support to staff members as needed.
• Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
• Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred.
• Flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
• Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.

Estimated Compensation Range: $17.00-$23.00/hour*

*Actual compensation may vary based on prior internship experience, current academic year, degree program, certifications, and geographical location.
