Job summary

CSX is seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager to support the daily operation of an intermodal terminal in Georgia. The role involves coordinating plans, staffing, and safety compliance to maximize efficiency.

You will work closely with the Terminal Manager, clerical staff, and contractors, ensuring schedules, inspections, and training are conducted according to CSX policies, with an emphasis on profitability and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Rail Operations.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maximize profitability by informed decision making.
• Coordinate with Terminal Manager, staff and contractors to harmonize inbound/outbound train and terminal plans.
• Adjust plans and schedules to meet network, customer, and terminal needs.
• Set short and long-term maintenance plans per CSX rules and guidelines.
• Ensure periodic inspections are performed and addressed.
• Assist staffing and scheduling to optimize use of clerical and contract staff.
• Implement training for new and existing employees and contractors.
• Ensure CSX safety and environmental policies are followed.
• Inform other CSX intermodal departments of terminal needs.
