Job summary

Pacific Rail Services operates at the CSX Intermodal Terminal in Chambersburg, PA, hiring full-time Rail Terminal Train Conductors. Training is paid, and railroad experience is preferred but not required.

Employees work at the terminal, with pay starting at $21.23/hour and potential increases of $1.50/hour upon certification as a Train Conductor and another $1.50/hour upon certification as a Locomotive Engineer. Weekly pay and strong union representation support advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Able to pass FRA vision and hearing examinations.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to climb, walk on uneven surfaces and perform physical labor safely.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely move railcars and locomotives within the intermodal yard.
• Operate track switches.
• Connect and disconnect air hoses.
• Communicate with crew members using radios, hand signals, and verbal commands.
• Follow all safety rules and operating procedures.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• All other duties assigned.
