Job summary

NWU seeks an enrolled undergraduate or graduate student for a logistics internship in Lithia Springs, GA. You will assist with transportation services and gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.

You will participate in daily tasks including freight planning, safety, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis, while supporting maintenance and P&L activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in good standing.
• Able to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Junior or Senior level preferred.
• Must have GED and High School diploma.
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with transportation and logistics services under supervision.
• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operations including freight planning and asset utilization.
• Support safety, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis.
• Contribute to driver supervision, P&L management, and maintenance coordination.
• Carry out account-specific duties as required.
