Job summary

ConGlobal in Toledo, OH is hiring an Intermodal Equipment Operator to move shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You will operate hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, loading and unloading in a fast-paced logistics setting.

Open to candidates with prior heavy equipment experience, strong safety focus, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and flexible availability including weekends. A valid driver’s license and pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends/holidays.
• Must have basic communication skills and be a team player.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
• Valid driver’s license; pass background and drug screening.
• Open availability.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis in the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to move and stack containers.
• Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure safety.
• Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
