Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking an Intermodal Equipment Operator to move and position shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You will operate hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to load and unload containers, ensuring safe, on-time freight handling.

Open availability is required, with shifts including weekends and holidays. A valid driver’s license is mandatory, and prior experience in logistics or industrial settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in logistics or industrial settings.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders/stairs as needed.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

About The Role

As an Intermodal Equipment Operator (also known as a Terminal Operator), you’ll play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You’ll operate specialized equipment—such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders—to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our daily logistics operations. Your work ensures containers are handled accurately and safely, keeping freight moving on time.

Starting Pay: $20.11 – $22.36/hour

Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening
  • The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. If applicable for the position you are applying to, and if you are offered the position, you will have to take and pass a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in intermodal or rail yard operations.
• Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers, top loaders, or cranes.
• CDL or equipment certifications a plus, but not required.
