Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license is required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
• Experience with intermodal, rail yard, or drayage operations preferred.
• Clean MVR and satisfactory driving record.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport Amazon freight to and from rail yards and distribution centers in the South Gate, CA area
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Coordinate with rail yard personnel for timely pickup and drop-off of intermodal containers
• Maintain accurate driver logs, trip records, and delivery documentation using electronic logging devices (ELD)
• Ensure safe and on-time delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic and transportation laws
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics coordinators regarding route updates and delays
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
