Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks an LPN/LVN to perform assigned duties promoting quality health care and positive customer service for Veterans. This is an INTERMITTENT position with no guarantee of hours.

The incumbent will provide direct patient care under RN/MD supervision, monitor vitals, assist with exams, and support the care team within a patient-centered environment. Intermittent schedules require flexibility and adherence to VA policies.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license in the United States.
• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program.
• Candidates pending licensure may be referred but must meet requirements before hire.
• VA-specific licensure requirements and grade progression follow standard federal policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN/MD supervision.
• Monitor and document vital signs.
• Assist with clinical exams and procedures.
• Support care coordination within the PACT and medical team.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient care environment.
