San Diego, CA - Intermittent Interpreter - Spanish Examination No. 24-021

Intermittent Interpreters provide simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services during court proceedings as parties and witnesses testify, or when attorneys present oral arguments and motions. They may also assist court staff with interpreting in a customer service setting and provide sight translations as needed. Interpreters work in courtroom or office settings and are eligible for Social Security and Workers' Compensation coverage.

Salary Rate

Intermittent Interpreters are paid $47.20 per hour, with a four-hour minimum guarantee of paid time (if the Interpreter agrees to be available for assignment by the court for the full half-day session). They are paid hourly for each additional hour worked beyond the four-hour guaranteed minimum.
