Service Corporation International in Whittier, CA is hiring an Interment Specialist to open, close, and maintain graves and mausoleums following safety and regulatory standards. You will locate graves, operate vehicles, read interment orders, and handle interment lists with care, supporting families during difficult times.

The role requires physical labor, valid CA driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

• Experience in landscaping, construction, or warehouse work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open & close cemetery properties (graves, mausoleums, crypts, & niches) by using proper procedures, tools and equipment, and safety regulations.
• Locate and work with graves, crypts, and niches anywhere within the park.
• Safely drive company vehicles and equipment onto and off of cemetery lawns.
• Read and understand interment orders and information on Interment List/Cards.
• Report unsafe equipment, tools, machines, and practices to management.
