Job summary

CALO is seeking a dedicated educator to join our Lake of the Ozarks campus. The role involves delivering differentiated Science instruction for students ages 9–13 who are healing from trauma, within small class sizes and a supportive environment.

You will work on-site in Lake Ozark, MO, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, and earn a competitive salary based on experience. Our team emphasizes collaboration, patient engagement, and adherence to DESE requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid Missouri teaching certification.
• Content-Specific Certification (DESE-Aligned) requirements include elementary and/or middle school level instruction and ability to teach Mathematics and Science in MO DESE.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated Science instruction tailored to student needs.
• Provide academic tools and supports to bridge learning gaps.
• Model patience, structure, and positive reinforcement.
• Foster a safe, consistent, emotionally attuned learning environment; manage behavior.

Responsibilities

Instructional & Student Support

Classroom Leadership

• Implement effective behavioral and classroom management strategies

Collaboration & Reporting

• Partner closely with clinicians, teachers, and direct care staff
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
• Ensure compliance with state academic standards, DESE expectations, and internal policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Missouri teaching certification
• Content-Specific Certification (DESE‑Aligned):
• • Candidates must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate authorizing instruction at theelementary and/or middle school level.
  • Candidates must be qualified to teachMathematicsandSciencein accordance with Missouri DESE certification requirements.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with Elementary Education certification, Middle School Mathematics (5–9), Middle School Science (5–9), or comparable Missouri endorsements.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks and drug screening
• Must be 21 years or older
