Mercury Systems is seeking a skilled assembler for 1st shift in Phoenix, AZ. You will solder SMT and through-hole components, inspect boards to IPC standards, and perform rework as needed. This on-site role requires meticulous manual dexterity and microscope work in a fast-paced production environment.

The position emphasizes adherence to quality procedures, passing soldering assessments to J-STD-001, and collaborating with leads to meet production schedules. Overtime is available and encouraged.

Job Description

Mercury Systems is looking for aspiring solderers to help complete a variety of tasks relating to production operations on PCBs and PCBAs. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate skill with soldering SMT and through hole components, rework and repair of boards.

*This is a 1 st shift opportunity, daily hours will be from 5:00am to 2:30pm and overtime is available and encouraged.*

Job Responsibilities

• Use soldering irons to attach electronic components with SMT and Thru hole technologies.
• Interpreting job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics
• Performing a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards
• Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts
• Modifying, soldering, reworking, repairing assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions
• Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Typically requires 2+ years of electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (both through hole and surface mount)
• Experience Hand soldering.
• Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures
• Will require an onsite soldering assessment to J-STD-001 standards during the interview
• Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Must be able to work for extended hours utilizing a microscope to perform inspection and solder touch-ups

Preferred Qualifications

• Rework/repair, wire attach, and mechanical assembly
• Must be detail oriented and able to multitask
• IPC-610, J-STD-001 and 7711/7721 certification preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs

Salary Information

• $38,300.00 - $76,600.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
• $42,900.00 - $85,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
• $45,200.00 - $90,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
