Job summary

HGC Noise Vibration Acoustics is seeking an experienced acoustics professional to grow our presence in Dallas–Fort Worth and the broader South Central U.S. This role combines technical delivery with active client development, working from home with base in the DFW area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in noise, vibration, acoustics, or a related engineering field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) designation, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience in a dynamic consulting environment is preferred, particularly within architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) or industrial sectors.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow client relationships across the DFW area and Texas.

Help grow HGC's presence throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and across the South Central U.S. region, working on complex noise, vibration, and acoustics projects. Based in the DFW metroplex and working primarily from home, you'll take real ownership - building client relationships, winning and delivering work, and representing HGC directly in the market, with the full depth of one of North America's largest acoustics consulting firms behind you. It's a role for a self-starter who thrives on both technical challenge and client development, and who wants to see their decisions and efforts translate directly into business growth and project success.

You'll apply specialized technical expertise across a broad mix of commercial, industrial, scientific, healthcare, residential, transportation, defence, and institutional projects - spanning environmental noise and vibration, architectural acoustics, building noise and vibration isolation, transportation system planning, and industrial noise control, on work across the United States, Canada, and abroad. Day to day, you'll manage projects from proposal through delivery, conduct site measurements and analysis, develop practical solutions, and serve as the primary point of contact for your clients.

Your key functions & responsibilities

You will contribute to all phases of project delivery, including:

Client Development and Market Presence

• Building and growing client relationships across the DFW area and Texas

Project Delivery and Technical Work

Your education & career experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, or a related discipline
• At least five years of experience in noise, vibration, acoustics, or a related engineering field
• Professional Engineer (PE) designation, or equivalent professional certification
• Experience in a dynamic consulting environment is strongly preferred, particularly within architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or industrial sectors
• Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships, preferably within AEC or industrial consulting environments
• Proven ability to build client relationships and support or lead business development
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate project deliverables and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience preparing competitive proposals and bids
