Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company in Longview, WA is seeking an Intermediate level Millwright to join our pulp and paper mill maintenance team. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read blueprints, and use precision tools to install, dismantle, and overhaul equipment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in industrial maintenance, plus a formal apprenticeship or related education. A strong mechanical aptitude, independence, and willingness to train are essential for success on this shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance as an Intermediate Millwright.
• Experience in a pulp and paper mill is a plus.
• Formal apprenticeship or related education preferred.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks for the maintenance department.
• Repair or improve equipment used in pulp and paper processes.
• Read blueprints and schematics to assemble or dismantle machinery.
• Use precision tools and alignment equipment for alignments and measurements.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
